About Us
I am a textile artist working from the top floor studio space at home on the beautiful Isle of Man. The landscape of the island and my Scottish roots influence the work I produce from the colours and fabrics I use, to the paper that I make. I am a keen walker and beach-comber and can't help but fill my pockets with the treasures I find and will later incorporate into my work.
I graduated from Gray's School of Art in Aberdeen, Scotland in 1995 with a BA (Hons) in Textile Design and Surface Decoration. Since graduating, I have worked as a floral designer in both Scotland and Kent, whilst continuing to produce privately commissioned textile designs. The move to the Isle of Man and the birth of my daughter inspired me to create Paper Stitch so that I could continue to produce beautiful textiles whilst enjoying my daughter as she grows.
